Working with your hands allows you to connect with the physical world in a way that is often lost in the digital age.
Join us here at Wildling Studio as we get creative together during the May Half Term. These workshops are designed exclusively for mini wildlings, teaching traditional hand skills and encouraging a connection to nature.
During the ceramic workshops Wildling Studio owner and potter Sarah Glazier-Hart will gently guide you step by step through the processes involved and you’ll have a chance to play and get creative with your pieces.
We are delighted to welcome Mils and Mum to the studio especially for May Half Term. Shan and Milly will guide you through the processes involved in block printing your very own drawstring bag, perfect for keeping your special books, toys and treasures in!
Please note: During the ceramic workshops we will be using stoneware clay and decorating with coloured slips. Pieces will need to be left at the studio for glazing and firing and will be ready for collection approximately 2-3 weeks after the workshop.
Suitable for children aged 4+ Parents must stay and are encouraged to get involved!
For both of our ceramic workshops there will be one Community Space Available. This free space is offered to support the local community, please click here for more information.

Meet the makers
Sarah Glazier-Hart
Sarah is the owner of Wildling Studio and the resident studio potter. She has over 12 years of teaching experience within public, private and charity sectors.
Sarah’s hand built, functional ceramics are made from high-fired flecked stoneware, ensuring her pieces are suitable for everyday use. She wants her work to be handled and used, so that everyday tasks are imbued with joy and pleasure. Sarah’s desire to make functional pieces results in ceramics that explore the balance between fragility and strength, with each bespoke piece exhibiting her signature soft colour pallet.
Meet the makers
Mils & Mum
Hi my name is Shân and I love printing - the simplicity, the anticipation, the process and the sense of achievement. I also get great delight in seeing others learn and enjoy this craft too, so sharing this process through our workshops gives us as much satisfaction as printing itself.
I have always enjoyed crafting for pleasure from a young child and after selling our family business 3 years again, I have been been able to spend more time exploring and enjoying this passion. I love design, pattern, and how Indian block printing opens up a wealth of creativity without the need to be able to draw or be artistic.
We set up Homemade by Mils and Mum, as my youngest daughter (Millie) then aged 9 wanted to have her own business. We sell our printed products at events and also run our workshops together. Millie is much loved by our attendees and brings her wealth of printing and calm to the workshops, with a quiet flair for helping, supporting and gently guiding if needed.
