“There is pleasure in the pathless woods. There is rapture on the lonely shore. There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea and music in its roar. I love not man the less, but Nature more.”
A creative outdoor workshop to mark the first signs of spring.
Join us in the woodland for a relaxed and hands-on pottery session inspired by Imbolc, the early spring festival that celebrates lighter days and new beginnings.
In this outdoor workshop, you’ll learn simple hand-building techniques using stoneware clay, guided by potter Sarah Glazier-Hart. We’ll take inspiration from the woodland setting as we shape our pieces — creating a slab-build plate with incised decoration — and enjoy the calm, mindful rhythm of working with our hands.
Between making, there’ll be time to warm up by the fire, enjoy a hot drink, and take in the peaceful surroundings. This workshop is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, and is a great way to spend time outdoors while learning a traditional craft.
Come and enjoy a creative day in nature — a chance to slow down, learn a new skill, and welcome the first hints of spring.
