Discover the healing power of our natural world.

In collaboration with medical herbalist Helen Rideout, Wildling Studio invites you to a day of nature connection working with herbal medicines and creating woven willow obelisks for the garden.

Spring is a time of renewal and growth, but also the first time in months that we can, thanks to the warmth of the season, relax and soften into the earth. During our herbal wellness workshop Helen will explore the emerging spring herbs, discuss their healing properties and the ways plants can support us as the season turns.

We will make herbal preparations to take home, as well as enjoy a relaxing willow weaving workshop, creating garden obelisks, perfect for spring blooms. This alchemy of herbal medicine and soothing traditional craft work will leave you feeling both energised and relaxed.

Included in Your Day

  • Spring Tonic Workshop

This session will focus on working with spring tonic herbs that are growing with great vibrancy around us at this time. We will gather herbs and from them make a Spring tonic vinegar, which will harness the powerful detoxifying and nutritious properties of the spring herbs. We will also make a springtime tea and cleaver water.

  • Willow Weaving Workshop

Working with Sarah you will be guided step-by-step through the creation of your very own woven willow obelisk. Using locally grown willow, these garden structures are absolutely perfect for growing your spring and summer flowers and climbing vegetables.

  • Foraging Walk

Join Helen for a guided herb walk as we open up to dialogue with the natural world. Helen will support you in identifying plants in nature’s first aid kit, recognising their healing properties and from there creating traditional remedies in our practical sessions.

  • Seasonal Lunch

Enjoy a seasonal vegetarian lunch prepared by Sarah of Wildling Studio. Sarah is an advocate for sustainable, local food, growing much of her own fruit and vegetables. Her baking has been described as ‘phenomenal’ by previous workshop attendees, so you are in for a treat!
